Vel has been a high-energy, enthusiastic, motivational CHEER, DANCE and FITNESS
Coach/Instructor for more than 20 years. Owner and Director of a Cheer and Dance
Company in Southern California; relocated to Fort Collins in 2009." I am
passionate about what I do and how I do it! With a heart for children, teens and
special needs, my emphasis is on building self-esteem, physical coordination,
strength, skills and team work in an environment that encourages FUN and MAKING
NEW FRIENDS!" Vel is happily married to David Green. They have 4 beautiful children who
are the BIGGEST BLESSING to both David and Vel.

Jessica Trujillo
Head Tiger Coach
Jessica Trujillo has been coaching since November 2010. Jessica grew up in Pueblo, CO where she cheered all 4 years of high school and was captain of her Cheer Squad her Senior year. Jessica also cheered competitively for 2 years during high school and moved to Fort Collins her Freshmen year of college to attend CSU. Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology and hopes to one day have a career working with children.
Kelsay Blair
Head Jaquarz and Puma Coach
Kelsay has been coaching since February 2010. She has always loved cheerleading and working with kids so having both in one is an amazing blessing for her. She graduated from high school in Levelland, Texas and was a cheerleader throughout Junior High and High School. She was the Captain of the Varsity squad her senior year and has competed at summer cheer camps every year. She made All-American Cheerleader two years in a row as well as won the Captain’s Award at summer cheer camp. Kelsay has participated in cheer and dance her whole life and is very excited to be able pass on the joy and excitement cheer brought her to the new generation of girls and boys. Kelsay is currently studying Fashion Design and Production as an undergraduate at CSU, and is looking forward to the next few years to come as a coach.
LAURA OSBORN
Special Needs Dance-Pom Head Coach
Laura Osborn has been a coach since September 2010. Laura grew up in Woodinville, WA, where she danced for 13 years. She was trained in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. She also danced competitively for 8 years. Laura moved to Fort Collins in order to go to CSU, where she earned a bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies. She recently graduated from UNC with a master’s in Special Education and is currently working at Werner Elementary as a long-term substitute. She absolutely adores this squad, and Wednesday nights are the highlight of her week.
NELSON TEAGUE
Tumbling director
Nelson Teague has been doing gymnastics since he was 3 years old and is slo currently a coach at Mountain Gymnastics where he has been seven years. While as an gymnast at Mountain Gymnastics he competed at the Junior Olympic Optionals Level 8. He joined The Cheer and Dance Connection a little over two years ago and is Level 1-5 Tumbling Certified. Nelson thoroughly enjoys teaching and coaching all the kids in our tumbling classes and is so proud of all the progress they have made and can't wait to see what the future holds!
Bri Green
Jaguarz, Puma, Cheetah and Tumbling Coach
Bri has been a favorite cheer and tumbling coach for the Wildcats since 2009. She has been on an All Star cheer squad since the age of 13. Bri also coaches gymnastics at Mountain Kids, Bright Horizons and for the Poudre School District. Bri also recently graduated from Hair Dynamics.
Alicia Kaempfe
Special Needs Dance-Pom and tiger Coach
Alicia Kaempfe has been coaching at The Cheer and Dance Connection since June of 2012. She currently helps coach the Panthers (Special Needs Dance-Pom) squad, the Tigers (4-8 year olds), and the Creative Movement class (Preschool class). After dancing for 10 years in St Louis, Mo and Jacksonville, FL she joined the Fossil Ridge High School cheer squad where she served as Captain and was named to the All Star Cheer Squad twice. Alicia is currently a senior at Colorado State University working on her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Business. She will graduate in December of 2013. Alicia is passionate about dance/cheer and performing. Being able to share her passion with the different squads makes the gym feel like a home away from home.
Jessica Noth
Competitive dance -Pom and Performance Dance-Pom Head Coach
Jessica Noth has been dancing since the age of 3, taking tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and lyrical.
During her Freshman year of high school she made the Varsity Cheerleading
Squad as a Flyer, and during the next 3 years, Jessica was also on the Varsity Pom Team. During her Senior
year, Jessica became Captain and helped lead the team to become National Champions,
winning 1st place at the Ameridance Internationals Competition in Florida.
Since August of 2013, Jessica has had the privilege to be the Dance/Pom Head Coach at TCDC.. She is
also currently working on her degree in Business with a concentration in
Marketing, and a Minor in Apparel and Merchandising. Jessica will be
graduating from Colorado State University in May of 2015.
During her Freshman year of high school she made the Varsity Cheerleading
